Six Photography Must Haves

We cannot take pictures without the camera and before the birth of the “hi tech” digital cameras, one cannot take a photograph without having film inside the camera. There are things that we need to have in order to take a picture.

For regular people, a camera and a film or memory card is enough. But for professional photographers additional gears and equipment may be necessary. Digital photography is the latest hype at present and it is creating such an interest among many people all over the world. This is probably because we are in the 21st century where technology is constantly advancing. Here are some must have digital photography equipment.

1. Digital camera. Of course, you wouldn't be able to capture an image or event without your trusty digital camera. Digital cameras come in different forms like the regular digital camera; the type which most of us have and the SLR; this is a more advance type of digital camera and most professional photographers use this.

Pick a digital camera that is fitting for your capacity meaning you must know how to use it. In addition to that, before you use the camera, make sure you are aware of its special features. Using the special features will surely help you with your pictures.

2. Memory Card. Film cameras use film but since we are using digital cameras, we need memory cards. This card will serve as the storage area for all the pictures you take. Without this, there will be no photographs to look at. If you already have a memory card inside your digital camera it would also be a good idea to bring an extra one because who knows when you will run out of memory. It is always best to be prepared.

3. Batteries. Digital cameras run on battery so in case you are using regular batteries you might want to bring more. On the other hand, if you are using rechargeable batteries make sure you charge them before you take them out. Keep in mind that digital cameras won't work without batteries.

4. Lens. If you are a professional and would want to put variations on the pictures that you take, then do not forget to bring your lens. Using these lenses will allow you to zoom in and focus on minute subjects such as insects.

5. Tripod. This is another must have for professionals. This gear can come very handy especially when you are taking pictures at low lights or when you are making the city lights as your subject. Tripods can also be useful for beginners especially those who have not so steady hands.

6. Camera bag. Digital cameras can be very fragile so you will have to keep them in a safe place when you are not using them. A camera bag can also contain your extra batteries, extra memory cards as well as your lenses.

Have these items with you all the time when you are out taking photographs. Try not to forget anything because you might end up empty handed.
