Do you like or enjoy taking photographs of wildlife creatures and nature? Take the time to read this article to garner a few tips and pointers on taking wildlife and landscape photographs.
• First things first, you must have camera bodies (excluding lenses), charged up camera batteries and camera chargers. Taking wildlife pictures will always lead you to nature, a remote area with less electrical supplies compared to the city. Of course, you need a camera when taking photographs, but you must bring spare camera batteries.
To make your wildlife photography work flawlessly and with lesser interruptions, you must have spare fully charged up batteries. Often times, wildlife photograph shoots might take a day or two so charge your batteries when you are at their local town or at a hotel.
• Various sets of lenses. You must have the wide, telephoto and micro lenses in your bag for this outdoor shoot. Have various lenses to use to capture those different and unique angles and moments.
• Lens cleaner or cloth. Whether you are taking photograph shoots in the jungle or rainforest there could be dust and moisture that will disrupt the vision of your lens and camera. So bring small pieces of cloth or tissue paper with you to clean those moist and dust.
• Tripod. One of the important equipments in landscape photography is the tripod. It gives the steady handle that your hands cannot provide.
• Film or storage devices such as CF cards (for digital cameras only). Of course you will need film or storage cards or else your photo shoot will be just useless. Don't forget to bring these materials; these are very important in photo shoots and it would also be better to bring spare sets of such.
• Sun screen and camera cover. You are in a wildlife territory and there might be unexpected forces of nature that would occur such as rain. When rain takes its tool, the first thing you have to do is to protect and cover your important equipments such as your camera. So always bring a rain cover for your camera; you could also use this when taking photo shoots of waterfalls or in other areas in a rainforest. As for sunscreen, it will block the sunlight that could disrupt your photograph. The sun's light might produce unnecessary natural lighting for your photo shoot.
• Bug spray. There might be mosquitoes and other bugs during your photo shoot so bring a bug spray to avoid the discomfort of bug bites.
• Hat and sunglasses. Protect yourself from the heat of the sun so bring both to have an enjoyable trip and shoot.
