Three Expensive Lenses You Wish You Had
If you think you spent a lot of money getting the body and stock lens for your current DSLR camera, think about the accessories that you haven't gotten to purchase yet. If you are a professional photographer, you know exactly what these all are. And if you are an enthusiast, you know that you will not always be able to buy exactly what you want to buy. This is especially true when it comes to lenses.
Lenses can be quite expensive, some costing just as much as a DSLR itself; and some costing a whole lot more. If you haven't heard of the following lenses, then it's time you took and gander and drooled over some of the most expensive lenses that you wish you had in your camera bag.
• Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L Tilt Shift Lens – For those of you don't know, there are all kinds of photography and one of the most popular forms of photography these days has to do with architecture. People love taking pictures of buildings and there are special lenses for this kind of photography. But when it comes to the best and most expensive, Canon has the most expensive lens in the market. The special tilt shift lens that they offer is just perfect for architecture shots. This lens allows for less distorted pictures as they are taken. These distortions are really easy to get with just regular lenses. It's no wonder that Canon has priced this lens at over $1000! But it seems that the price tag is actually quite worth it because the lens is a winner when it comes to taking the best building shots.
• Sigma 300-800mm f/5.6 EX DG HSM – Everyone wants a zoom lens. This is actually one of the first lenses that people usually hunt for after they get the DSLR camera body and stock lens. A zoom lens allows a person to take pictures from very far away and this can be very useful at sports events or for bird watching. This is where the Sigma zoom lens shines over other products. This lens actually allows the longest zoom than any other zoom lens there is in the market. It measures at over 21 inches and could be physically the longest lens on the market. This can be used on many camera bodies but at a price of over $6,500, it's highly unlikely that it will be on many of them.
• Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM Super Telephoto Lens – Released earlier this year by Canon, this telephoto lens has to be the best one out there right now. The lens is so large that it needs its own tripod to be properly used. It is obviously designed for professionals so if you are not a pro photographer you can expect to be wasting money if you ever bought one of these. Just under $12,000, this lens is the perfect one for wildlife photography and almost anything in the long range. It's even heavier than the camera that you might use, thus the need for a separate tripod. So think about it; it's almost impossible to buy and also almost impossible to use without the use of a second stand.
